The Collegian is eagerly seeking university students to write for its new online publication, reporting anything from breaking news, to features, to game-day sports events on campus. No experience writing for a newspaper is required join and neither is working toward a journalism major or minor.

Enjoy photography instead? The Collegian's online operations ideally demand daily additions of photos from events around campus and in the community, including the city of Richmond.

Those seeking to shoot video or hone their skills in broadcast journalism and online media writing should contact online editor Dan Petty (dan.petty@richmond.edu). The Collegian is particularly seeking people to report shorter, breaking news stories.

If interested in joining as a writer or photographer, please e-mail The Collegian's editor in chief Megan Wilson (megan.wilson@richmond.edu). We ask that you send us three samples of your best writing. Tell us what your areas of expertise are and what stories you'd like to report. Meeting deadlines is an absolute must in writing for any publication, including The Collegian.
