Police Report: 02/24/11

Theft

Feb. 14, 3:54 p.m. A university staff member's IBM ThinkPad, valued at $1,200, was stolen from Gottwald Center for the Sciences.

Feb. 20, 5:50 p.m. The Chevy emblem, valued at $100, was stolen from a Westhampton College student's Chevy Aveo in the 300 block of the University Forest Apartments.

Feb. 21, 4:34 p.m. A Richmond College student's iPad, valued at $700, was stolen from Dennis Hall.

Fraud

Feb. 16, 4:41 p.m. An RC student sold his iPad to a person not affiliated with this university and never received the $540 for his sale.

Harrassing Communication

Feb. 17, 3:57 p.m. An RC student reported receiving threatening e-mail messages.

Larceny

Feb. 18, 1:01 p.m. A WC student's La Jolla purple cruiser bike, valued at $100, was stolen from Gray Court.

Possession of Stolen Property

Feb. 18, 11:23 a.m. Two RC students were referred to the dean for possessing a stolen Speed Hump sign, valued at $150, in South Court.

Vandalism

Feb. 18, 4:58 p.m. An RC student cracked a glass door in the Special Programs Building. The damage was estimated at $500.

Feb. 20, 1:05 p.m. The side-view mirror on an RC student's Chevy was damaged in X-lot. The damages were estimated at $50.

Liquor Law Violation

Feb. 19, 12:33 a.m. An RC student was referred to the dean for underage possession of alcohol by consumption in Fraternity Row.

Feb. 19, 4:05 a.m. A WC student was referred to the dean for underage possession of alcohol by consumption in Moore Hall.

Feb. 20, 1:54 a.m. An RC student was referred to the dean for underage possesion of alcohol by consumption in the 1100 block of the apartments.

Drunkenness

Feb. 19, 6:52 a.m. A person not affiliated with the university was arrested in Fraternity Row for being drunk in public after falling and injuring her head and face.

Motor Vehicle Theft

Feb. 19, 2:13 a.m. An unknown offender attempted to steal a golf cart from in front of Marsh Hall.

Trespassing

Feb. 20, 1:18 p.m. An unknown offender was trespassing in the 2100 block of the apartments.

Hit and Run

Feb. 22, 5:33 p.m. The Webb Tower Tunnel was hit and the damages were estimated at $600.
