Speros back at football practice

Just three days after his preliminary hearing for getting arrested on felony hit-and-run charges, University of Richmond football player Jimmy Speros was back at practice.

A redshirt sophomore offensive lineman, Speros had been absent from team activities since his arrest nearly a month ago. At his preliminary hearing, Speros's trial was set for June 11.

With all football practices open to the public, Speros, no. 71, was spotted by bystanders on Thursday at the practice fields behind the 1900 block of the University Forest Apartments.

This story will be updated when officials for the team can be reached for comment.
