Quarterback Kyle Lauletta looks to pass upfield under pressure.

University of Richmond senior and starting quarterback Kyle Lauletta has been drafted by the New York Giants in the fourth round with the 108th pick of the 2018 NFL draft.

He became the highest picked UR quarterback to be drafted in the school’s history and its first quarterback to be drafted since 1975.

Lauletta was the seventh quarterback taken overall in the draft. He joins a team where he will compete to be the backup for veteran Eli Manning.

Despite tearing his ACL at the end of the 2016 season, Lauletta has had a record-setting career at Richmond and has been praised by teammates and coaches for his leadership on and off the field.

He set all-time school records for passing yards: 10,465; touchdown passes: 73; and total offensive yards: 10,651.
