Richmond’s swimming and diving team extended its streak of consecutive Atlantic 10 Conference Championships to five last weekend, adding to the dynasty that has won 13 of the previous 14 conference championships.
The Bald Eagles scored their lone goal less than six minutes into the game, and managed to hold off the Richmond attack for the rest of the game. It was a tale of two halves for the Spiders, who looked a bit lackluster to start the game, but picked up their play significantly in the second half.

The Blue Goat is a restaurant right near campus on Grove Avenue. I have always heard great things about it but hadn't had the chance to try it until now, and I'm glad I did. The restaurant has a cool atmosphere with tons of booths and bar seating. It also has private rooms in the back of the restaurants with glass walls so that you can have a bigger party without feeling isolated from the rest of the restaurant. The bar scene Thursday night was crowded with tons of middle-aged people who seemed to be part of the same community. There were tons of friendly vibes -- it seemed like a great neighborhood restaurant.
This year's Bellis Fest, held April 4, saw both a turnout of hundreds of University of Richmond students and much better weather than last weekend's Pig Roast.
The third time was not the charm for the Spiders. The Virginia Commonwealth University Rams completed the three-game season sweep over University of Richmond to move on to the Atlantic 10 Tournament semifinals.

A meeting took place a few weeks ago among representatives of the Westhampton College Government Association, the Panhellenic Executive Association and Alison Bartel Keller, director of student activities. The topic of discussion was the new regulations that were put in place this year regarding current women of Greek life requesting or accepting Facebook friend requests from first-year or sophomore women who plan to join a sorority in January.

Terrance West led No. 6 Towson (8-1, 4-1 CAA) to a 48-32 victory over Richmond (2-6, 0-4) Saturday in Robins Stadium.
The University of Richmond field hockey team went ahead of Saint Francis University 4-0 in the first 15 minutes and never let the Red Flash back in to the game. Saint Francis scored at the end of the first half, and the game did not see its last goal until Amy Cook scored for the Spiders to end the game with a score of 6-1.
Richmond (2-4, 0-2 CAA) fell at in-state rival James Madison (5-2, 2-1 CAA), 38-31, on Saturday, despite quarterback Michael Strauss throwing for 423 yards and two touchdowns.
The women's field hockey team dominated Appalachian State University on Saturday in a game that finished with a score of 8-1.
