One of my favorite feelings at college is getting that mid-afternoon email notification from the UR Post Office titled “package notification,” and I don’t think I’m the only one who feels this way. Two minutes after receiving that email, you can be sure to see me sprinting across campus to URPO to tear the tape off my mysterious cardboard package with pure excitement. So my point is: sending gifts to friends and family is never a bad idea. Edible gifts? Even better. With midterms passing and finals approaching a little too quickly, everyone needs something sweet in their life. Here are some treats you can send to cheer up your sweetest long-distance friend. These are a foodie’s dream in a package.

For anyone with a sweet tooth, you’ve come to the right place because there’s a spot (and dessert) for just about everyone in this city.

I've followed around my two older brothers, Peter and Johnny, for as long as I can remember. From building Legos, to "coaching me" in X-Box games and teaching me every swear word I know (think, “What rhymes with duck?”), Peter and Johnny were a defining feature of my youth. As the youngest sibling and the only girl, I'm pretty used to being the butt of their jokes and the victim of their constant harassment. The two of them have toughened me up and taught me a thing or two about competition, while I’ve been their personal stylist and guide on how the female mind works. As much as I look up to them, never did I think I would follow them in their decision to attend a small school in Richmond, Virginia.

Whether you were skiing in the Alps or soaking up the sun in Miami, your spring break plans may have damaged your skin. Changing temperatures wreak havoc on skin, especially if you are already prone to dry, flaky skin. Harsh weather during spring break trips coupled with a return to Richmond can be a recipe for a dermatological nightmare. The cold strips skin of all its necessary moisture, and lack of sun exposure can lead to a duller complexion. On the other hand, being in the sun can dry out and damage your skin. With spring approaching, who doesn’t want to be looking their best? Here are some quick pointers to keep your skin looking flawless.

Pull on your elastic pants and grab your protractors UR students – tomorrow is National Pi Day. The beloved mathematical constant has its own day each year on March 14, or 3-14, which represents pi's first three digits. Pi (and its equally loved cousin, pie) will be celebrated on and off campus tomorrow in a variety of ways.
