The Spiders dominated all phases of the game in their 46-24 win over the Morgan State Bears on Saturday. Richmond earned 463 yards of offense and scored a playoff school record of 46 points. The Bears were periodically explosive on offense, but Richmond's defense neutralized the rushing attack for the most part. The Spiders forced four turnovers and committed just two, an uncharacteristically positive statistic for the team.

The final score from Robins Stadium is 46-24. The Spiders were explosive offensively and forced turnovers defensively. The Bears were explosive periodically as well, but much less often than Richmond. Thank you for following along today!

The Richmond Spiders played perhaps their most complete game all season at William & Mary, defeating the Tribe and earning a spot in the FCS playoffs for the first time under coach Danny Rocco.

The Richmond Spiders won the Capitol Cup against William & Mary to finish the season 8-4 and most likely advance to the playoffs. The team returned to top form Saturday night, as quarterback Michael Strauss looked healthy and the Spiders fired on all cylinders. Seth Fisher ran for 123 yards and two touchdowns, and the defense held the Tribe in check for the most part. Tre McBride did what he could for the Tribe, catching eight passes for 134 yards.
