During the first few weeks of classes, officials at the University Police Department have increased the number of patrols to prevent alcohol-related illnesses and injury among students.

University of Richmond police have arrested two undergraduate students on charges of misdemeanor vandalism after 17 cars were found spray-painted last weekend in the University Forest Apartments parking lots.
Drug/Narcotic Equipment Violation
The University of Richmond Police Department expects by the week's end to make arrests in connection with a vandalism spree that targeted the University Forest Apartments, Crenshaw Field and South Court early Saturday morning.
A female student reported being raped on campus on Jan. 12 and is choosing not to press charges, University of Richmond police said.
