Study Break for the Soul

If you’re prone to procrastination by scrolling through photos of cute animals on the Internet, this event is for you.

Study Break for the Soul provides students during finals week with activities like arts and crafts, movies, snacks, massages, and of course, playing with puppies. And if you noticed more dogs than usual this semester, you were right. The Office of the Chaplaincy partnered with CAPS to provide more activities and – you guessed it – more dogs. In addition to pups owned by faculty and staff in the Chaplaincy, interns at CAPS initiated a partnership with Caring Canines to bring therapy dogs to campus as well.

Because of the cold, rainy weather, the dogs were moved into the Hanging Lounge in the Commons, which was soon packed with students seeking out a furry friend.

“It was the perfect surprise after my final today,” Ryan Berning, ’17, said. “It gave me a little taste of home.”
