I am the father of a Class of 2010 alumna. My daughter loved her time at Richmond. She graduated summa cum laude, was a three-year officer on the Honor Council and became editor of The Collegian her senior year. She was a journalism major and women's studies minor.
Many junior Westhampton women, donned in long, white dresses, are escorted down the steep staircase of the Jefferson Hotel each February to receive their class rings.
The university community welcomed the Class of 2014 on consecutive weekends in September. Richmond College hosted its Investiture Ceremony September 12 and Westhampton College September 19.

SAT scores for incoming classes at the University of Richmond have dropped significantly in recent years. For the graduated class of 2006, the following range, 1240-1390, reflects the middle half of the class.
The University of Richmond received 8,616 applications for the class of 2014, a record-breaking number up nearly 10 percent from last year, according to the Office of Undergraduate Admission. 2,856 students were accepted for an admission rate of 33 percent -- down from last year's admission rate of 39 percent. 819 students enrolled.
Applications for freshman admission at the University of Richmond are up 9 percent from last year.
