One of the three suspects who were arrested and charged with the murder of Brendan Tevlin has plead not guilty. Tevlin, who completed his freshman year at Richmond this spring, was shot and killed in his family's Jeep June 25 in New Jersey.

Nico Doreste's comparison between a medical procedure and rape in his submission, "Government rape: Ultrasounds," to The Collegian last week was beyond ridiculous. It may be news to Nico, but women willingly have instruments stuck into their vaginas by doctors all the time. Making that kind of procedure mandatory, given the desire to have an abortion, is hardly rape.

A girl was murdered a few days ago at Gettysburg College. I knew her, but not very well. In fact, I've only met her once. She was roommates with a good friend of mine. The person charged with murdering her was her ex-boyfriend. He allegedly strangled and stabbed her until she died. It makes me sick to think that she was so brutally murdered and it makes me even sicker to think that Gettysburg College is no exception. This could happen anywhere.

Zaundra "ZiZi" Gray, a lead barista at the 8:15 at Boatwright coffee shop in the Boatwright Memorial Library, was found dead in a Midlothian hotel stairwell last Friday. She was 40.
