BOSTON, Mass. -- Northeastern nearly ruined University of Richmond's New Years, as the Huskies overcame a 12-point halftime deficit to tie the game with less than three minutes remaining, but Richmond pulled out the 70-66 victory.
So, have your New Year's resolutions once again found you where they met you in previous years? That is, right there stuck only in the New Year? If you are like most of us, your resolutions fall short of the term. If you find that your resolutions dissolve into something you must constantly re-visit or resolve every year, then either you are insane or, more likely, just human and maybe a bit uninspired. Goals can be fitness or health related, and they may also be lifestyle related. Goals are meant to improve you. This year, work on creating strategic and goal-oriented resolutions that stick and that are resolved by the year's end. Sure, that is much easier said than done, but here are some ways to help:

From President Edward Ayers' momentous inauguration and the Spider football team's national championship victory, to controversy over a sexually explicit fraternity e-mail and the discovery of a black doll hanging from a rope in a university theater, 2008 at the University of Richmond offered celebratory moments, and sad, tragic and questionable ones.
And just like that the year's already over, and what a wild one it was. So, to send 20 aught eight off in style, I present to you my Richmond Year in Review.
