Every morning when Sherman Logan wakes and struggles to get out of bed he reflects on his football career. He knows his joint pain may improve throughout the day, but he knows his senses will not. His hearing is muffled and his sense of smell is virtually nonexistent.

In the early morning hours of Oct. 21, 2013, Officer Sgt. Scott Seitz stopped a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix on Route 1 in South Plainsboro, N.J., for speeding at 71 mph in a 55 mph zone. After the initial stop at 3:40 a.m., Seitz arrested the driver, Richmond basketball senior Derrick Williams after, according to a press release from the Plainsboro Township Police Department, an "investigation revealed him to be in possession of marijuana."

1914 was a big year for the University of Richmond. The school moved from its downtown location to the current campus, Westhampton College was founded and in November, students published the first issue of The Collegian, making the university's weekly, student-run newspaper nearly 99 years old.

Kevin Smith said he had decided to play basketball for coach Chris Mooney at University Richmond because it was the first school that really made him feel as though they had to have him. Three years after Smith graduated, Mooney decided he needed him again, this time as a member of the staff.
