Brightly-colored corduroy pants, videos of the group introducing medleys against its alter-ego "Furmata" and a rendition of “Uptown Funk” that brought the crowd to its feet could all be seen at the annual King of Hearts concert on Friday that celebrated Choeur du Roi’s 20th anniversary as an a cappella group.

The tradition of a cappella continues at University of Richmond with The Sirens' annual Holiday Concert on Dec. 3. The concert will feature all four of the university's a cappella groups – The Sirens, Choeur du Roi, The Octaves and Off the Cuff – at 9 p.m. in the Pier.

The Octaves released a promotional single, "Too Close," on Feb. 14 for their new album "Ricochet," which will mark the singers' exciting return to the recording world of a cappella, said junior Jared Feinman, The Octaves' music director.
