The Spiders dominated all phases of the game in their 46-24 win over the Morgan State Bears on Saturday. Richmond earned 463 yards of offense and scored a playoff school record of 46 points. The Bears were periodically explosive on offense, but Richmond's defense neutralized the rushing attack for the most part. The Spiders forced four turnovers and committed just two, an uncharacteristically positive statistic for the team.

Richmond was blown out by James Madison 55-20 Saturday at the Robins Stadium. The Spiders committed five egregious turnovers, as two interceptions were returned for touchdowns by the Dukes and two fumbles near the end zone ended promising Spider drives. Richmond's playoff hopes took a devastating blow with this loss, and although the chances of earning a spot are not nil, they are slim. James Madison, which will face Elon next weekend, has put itself in a great position for a playoff spot with this win.

Anthony dribbles the clock out and finalizes the Spider win. The story of this game was, as expected, Kendall Anthony, who led the Spiders with 18 points and came alive in the second half when it mattered most. The negative for Richmond, though, was its deficit on the offensive boards, as the team had 12 fewer offensive rebounds than Radford did. The Spiders had solid play from reserve T.J. Cline in his first game as a Spider, and Alonzo Nelson-Ododa proved to be a defensive force with four blocks and two steals.
