Improvathon was this year held on Westhampton Green, across from the Modlin Center for the Arts.

Marathon of mirth: STC hosts 24 hour improvathon fundraiser for Art 180

The show was one of two during STC’s Improvathon, a bi-annual fundraiser for Art 180, a local non-profit organization that provides access to arts for low-income children, according to Doro, a junior and member of the troupe. STC stayed up for 24 hours during the improv marathon, which was located on Westhampton Green this year.

Remembering Christopher Elvin Jr.

“He would be the kind of person that would drop what he was doing to come help you,” Thomas said. “And I think that type of dedication to your friends, or family or people you love? That’s something that you have to hold onto and treasure because now, people don’t make themselves available like that, which is understandable, but he really did.”

UMass Scrapes by Spiders to Clinch Conference Honors

It seemed only fitting that the final day of conference action would see the University of Richmond women’s lacrosse team host the University of Massachusetts in a tangle for first place in the Atlantic 10 conference. Unfortunately for the upset-minded home side, however, it was the Minutewomen who eked out a 13-12 win on April 27.

Plain White T's perform at end-of-year concert

The Plain White T’s opened with “Our Time Now,” and immediately after they finished, the crowd began to chant for “Hey There Delilah.” After a brief competition to see how loud each half of the crowd could sing, the Plain White T’s followed with “Young Tonight,” “All That We Needed,” “Fired Up” and “Should’ve Gone to Bed.”
