Last spring, the Student Programming and Events Council (SPEC), along with staff adviser Alison Bartel Keller, began to brainstorm how they would bring the student population of Richmond together in what President Edward Ayers calls a campus unifying event under the University's Strategic Plan.

The Interfraternity and Panhellenic councils hosted the Trick or Treat Street philanthropic event Saturday at Old Fraternity Row, welcoming families from the Richmond community to campus for a day of Halloween games and activities. Proceeds were donated on behalf of 5-year-old Cole Hafer of Richmond to the Children's Organ Transplant Association. This was the third year Trick or Treat Street proceeds had been put toward Cole's liver transplant.

University of Richmond officials are mulling over the idea of relocating the Career Development Center to a more central location on campus, a move that would afford additional space for student job interviews, other career services and increase accessibility.
