Details for Saturday's semifinal game against Northern Iowa

The University of Richmond football team is set to play the University of Northern Iowa at 4 p.m. on Saturday in Cedar Falls, Iowa, for the semifinal game of the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs.

The game will be broadcast live on big-screen TVs in the Robins Center -- immediately after a 2 p.m. men's basketball game against crosstown rival Virginia Commonwealth University and before an 8 p.m. women's basketball game against Towson University.

The game will be broadcast on ESPN, WLFV-FM 93.1 and ESPN Radio 950.

Collegian reporters will be covering the match-up from Iowa and the Robins Center. A breaking news brief will be posted immediately after the game, with a longer story and photos to follow.

No. 3 Northern Iowa is 11-2 this season. The Spiders are 11-3, with losses to No. 1 James Madison University, No. 6 Villanova University and the University of Virginia. They are advancing to the semifinals for the second time in school history.

In the other semifinal game, No. 4 Montana will travel to face No. 1 James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. -- a game that will be broadcast at 8 p.m. Saturday on ESPN2. The winner of each semifinal game will meet Dec. 19 in Chattanooga, Tenn., for the national championship.

Students who arrive at 1 p.m. for the men's basketball game will receive free food from Chipotle, and the first 100 students to arrive will receive a free UR Bookstore gift cards. Those who stay for the game will be eligible to win a $200 gas card.

A win for the women's basketball team would improve its record to 9-0, the Spiders' best start since 2004-05.

ESPN Radio 950 will also broadcast the men's basketball game. Audio coverage of men's and women's basketball and football will be available at RichmondSpiders.com, and SpiderTV will provide live video streaming of the men and women's basketball games.
