Thanksgiving Fashion Fit for Feasting

Food, drinks, family and relaxation make for an extremely fun day, and Thanksgiving is a holiday that many people love. Richmond students also enjoy Thanksgiving as their last break before finals start and the semester ends.

An ideal Thanksgiving outfit is cute and comfortable at the same time. Food comas are welcome on this day, but showing a “food baby” is not.

In order to look presentable and festive for your holiday, there are some tricks that you can follow. These three fashion pieces are bound to let you feel comfortable while celebrating and giving thanks.

1) Oversized sweater

An oversized sweater can be fashionable and cozy at the same time. It’s not too tight, so it would be a perfect option to wear during your Thanksgiving feast. You can even add a statement necklace, vest, or scarf if your oversized sweater needs a pop of color.

Katya Salas, senior, styles her oversized sweater with jeggings, a long necklace and booties.

2) T-shirt Dress

A t-shirt dress is a girl’s best friend. Who wouldn’t love looking dressed-up while feeling completely comfortable in a soft and oversized t-shirt? This look will even please your classy grandma who insists that everyone look presentable at the Thanksgiving dinner table.

Ellen Savastio, sophomore, pairs her t-shirt dress with booties to dress it up for special occasions.

3) Blanket Scarf

Blanket scarves are one of my favorite accessories for fall. They keep you warm and cozy while looking festive at the same time. Throw on a plaid blanket scarf with your Thanksgiving outfit to hide any “food babies” and stay comfortable all day long.

Laura Zanin, junior, wears her plaid blanket scarf to accessorize her dress and boots.

These three fashion pieces will be sure to keep you fashionable and comfortable throughout your Thanksgiving Day!
