Welcome back Spiders! With the first week of classes under our belts, it’s time to get involved both on and off campus. Check out what this week has to offer. 

Cycle Classes at BOHO Cycle Studio

Monday through Friday 

Looking to break a sweat on a budget? BOHO Cycle Studio has special Cycle Little Blue Box Farewell classes this week for only $13 as a way to say goodbye to its old location in the Museum District. BOHO Cycle studio is moving, but only across the street. Check out a cycle class at a discounted price while you can! Visit their website for more information.

Eat Outside Day and Build-a-Picnic Event 

Wednesday 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. 

Wednesday is Eat Outside Day at the University of Richmond, where retail dining locations will offer picnic specials. To celebrate Eat Outside Day, visit the Well-Being Center to make your own charcuterie board and picnic snacks. Post a picture of your outdoor meal on Instagram, making sure to tag @urdining to be entered to win a UR picnic blanket.

SpiderFest

Thursday 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. 

Attention all Spiders! Looking to learn more about student organizations and departments on campus? This is a great opportunity to get more involved. Spiderfest will take place in the Forum and feature activities, music and representatives from student organizations. 

Perspectives: Equitable Housing and Eviction Systems

Friday 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.

This year’s first “Perspectives” event, a community discussion hosted by the Bonner Center for Civic Engagement, is on Friday and will feature Virginia state Sen. Ghazala Hashm and Thad Williamson, professor of Leadership Studies and Philosophy, Politics, Economics and Law. The discussion will cover equitable housing and eviction diversion in Richmond. This event is open to UR and Richmond community members and will take place in Room 321 of Tyler Haynes Commons. For more information, follow this link

Richmond Moon Market - PRIDE

Saturday noon to 5 p.m. 

Visit the Richmond Moon Market this weekend at Stone Brewing Company as it celebrates a special edition market for Richmond Pride. The market will feature LGBTQ+ vendors in a curated craft and wellness market. Richmond Pride is celebrated in September, and this market is proud to be a supporter of the LGBTQ+ community.
