From outdoor community yoga classes to brunch for a cause, this week has a whole lot to offer. Be sure to check out some of these events.

Community Yoga at Maymont 

Tuesday 6 p.m.-7 p.m. 

Head to Maymont Park to take Michelle Lee Landon’s weekly community yoga class at the Children’s Farm entrance. This event is open to anyone and is a pay-what-you-can class. The proceeds support Landon and Maymont Park. Be sure to check out this weather-permitting class that runs weekly until Sept. 27. Visit here for more information. 

Job and Internship Fair 

Thursday noon to 4 p.m. 

The Office of Alumni and Career Services is hosting a Job and Internship Fair for students of all class years and majors. This is an opportunity to network with employers for career opportunities. Students are recommended to wear business casual or professional attire. This event will take place at the Queally Center in the Breed Pavilion. James River Jamboree 

Saturday noon to 9 p.m. 

The James River Association is celebrating James River Week 2022 with a Jamboree hosted at Hardywood Park Craft Brewery. This jamboree will have food trucks, interactive vendors, beer and a music lineup all day long. For more information, visit the event page. The James River Association has celebratory events all week long. Be sure to visit their website to check out the other events happening this week.

RVA Brunch Weekend

This weekend is Richmond Brunch Weekend, where local restaurant partners will donate a part of their proceeds to the Richmond SPCA. Be sure to check out and follow the @richmondbrunch Instagram page to take part in the giveaway series. Post a picture tagging @richmondbrunch if you attend two brunches during RVA Brunch weekend with the caption #RVAdoublebrunch to be entered to win a prize. United Way Volunteer Pop-up at Triple Crossing Fulton 

Sunday noon to 4 p.m. 

If you’re interested in doing some volunteer work, United Way is hosting a pop-up event at Triple Crossing Brewery - Fulton. This event is a part of the Sept. 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance, where volunteers will make United Way kits made up of educational and emergency-preparedness items. These kits will be given to families of United Way’s nonprofit partners. This event will have food and drink options available to purchase, with 15% of the draft sales donated to United Way of Greater Richmond and Petersburg. Register for the event here.
