Make your last few days before fall break count. Check out the happenings this week. 

Midterms De-stress

Monday 10 a.m. to noon

Feeling the pressure of the pre-fall break midterms and assignments? Head to the Well-Being Center Monday morning to make your own tea blend in the Demo Kitchen. This is a great way to de-stress before the week ahead. 

Latinx Heritage Dinner 

Tuesday 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. 

Heilman Dining Center is having its annual Latinx Heritage Dinner on Tuesday featuring cuisine from Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Peru among other countries. This dinner will also feature two specialty mocktails: Horchata, a sweet rice milk beverage, and Agua de Jamaica, a hibiscus tea. Check out more of the menu offerings here

Ghostbusters Movie Night at Buskey Cider 

Tuesday 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. 

It’s the first week of October, which means Halloween is just around the corner. Head to Buskey Cider in Scott’s Addition for a viewing of “Ghostbusters” while sipping on hard cider made from 100% Virginia apples. Visit here for more information. 

Richmond Fashion Week

RVA Fashion Week kicks off this Wednesday for a week of runway shows, panel discussions, networking and the 2nd annual RVA Sneaker Fest. RVA Fashion Week, which began in 2008, celebrates the diverse fashion and arts community. The goal is to raise awareness of the arts and fashion culture in Richmond to support local vendors, businesses and creators. Visit here for more information and a full list of events. 

Richmond Folk Festival 

Friday thru Sunday 

The Richmond Folk Festival is this weekend at Richmond’s historic riverfront. This three-day, free event will feature performing groups representing many different cultural traditions. The event will have food and marketplace vendors. Visit here for more information.
