Your Return

Monday through Friday

Recently returned from study abroad? The International Education office is hosting Your Return, an event to help students reflect and share their experiences abroad. Returnees will go on a walk across campus, which will be followed by a dinner with Dean Martha Merritt, study abroad advisors and other recent returnees. Register for the event here.

Winter SpiderFest

Tuesday 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Looking to get more involved with student organizations on campus? Winter SpiderFest will take place for the first time at the Robins Center, right before the University of Richmond men’s basketball game against the University of Rhode Island. The event will feature activities from student organizations, along with free pizza and beanies for the first 250 people in attendance.

MLK Celebration: A Beloved Community Gathering

Wednesday 4 p.m. - 6 p.m.

The Bonner Center for Civic Engagement is hosting a community gathering as part of the 2023 MLK Day Celebration. Head to the Alice Haynes Room for reflection opportunities, food and performances from poet laureate Roscoe Burnems and hip-hop artist Chance Fischer. 

Richmond Film Network Short Film Series 

Wednesday 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Head to Movieland At Boulevard Square to see a range of short, independent films from diverse and upcoming creators from Richmond and beyond. The screening will be followed by a filmmaker Q&A moderated by Maggie Lovitt (Hollywood Critics Association). Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 on the day of show.

LGBTQ+ Winter Mixer

Thursday 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

The Student Center for Equity and Inclusion is hosting the LGBTQ+ Winter Mixer at the Whitehurst Living Room on Thursday. Stop by for socializing, food, drinks and free UR LGBTQ+ t-shirts.

Frostival

Friday 12 p.m. - 3 p.m.

In need of something fun to do this weekend? Head to the Forum to enjoy music, hot chocolate and ice skating at SpiderBoard’s Frostival event.

Indoor Climbing at Triangle Rock Club

Friday 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Outdoor Adventure and Recreation Program at the Weinstein Center for Recreation is hosting an indoor climbing outing to the Triangle Rock Club this weekend. The event is suitable for all skill levels and students must register and pay a $8.50 fee.
