There is a lot in store this week, from a comedy show to a stoplight party. Check out some events below.

Kick-Off Dinner & Student Art Exhibition

Tuesday 5 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

To celebrate the beginning of Black History Month, there is a special dinner in the Heilman Dining Center featuring Haitian and Ethiopian dishes. There is also an exhibition happening simultaneously, presenting arts created by Black students at the University of Richmond.

Meet the Firms

Tuesday 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Interested in a career in accounting? Meet the Firms is an opportunity for students to get familiar with top accounting firms both big and small. The event, taking place in the Queally Center, will involve presentations and structured networking, in which students will be able to learn about the organizations and the opportunities they offer. Fiber Arts Pop-Up: Come as U R!

Friday 4:30 p.m.

Looking to start a new hobby? Visit the President’s Home on 7000 River Road for a chance to learn fiber arts. Yarn, knitting needles and crochet hooks will be provided to participants, along with hands-on support, mocktails and door prizes. Fill out the registration form here.

Black Queer Joy Comedy Show

Friday 7 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Join the Student Center for Equity and Inclusion for a performance by comedian and actor Anthony Oakes with opener sophomore Clayvon Grimes. The event will be held in the Current.

King of Hearts

Saturday 7:30 p.m.

Check out Choeur du Roi’s annual showcase in Camp Concert Hall this weekend. Tickets can be purchased here.

Single’s Inferno

Saturday 10 p.m. - 1 a.m.

Celebrate love at the CAVE with a stoplight party, in which participants wear different colors to indicate their relationship status. There will also be a live DJ, desserts and a signature mocktail at the party. The event is open to all. 

Anti-Valentines Show

Sunday 7 p.m.

Not a fan of Valentine’s Day? Visit the Current to see Off The Cuff and Subject to Change perform at their annual Anti-Valentines Show.
