Happy Tuesday Spiders! If you’re looking for activities in and around the University of Richmond campus, check in here every week for my favorite picks. 

Iron Blossom Festival
Music lovers: Listen up. Artists like The Lumineers, the 502s, Khrungabin, Rainbow Kitten Surprise and so many more are performing at the Iron Blossom Festival this weekend. Head over to the Midtown Green on Sept. 20 and 21 to see a number of performers and enjoy local food and drinks. Get your tickets here!

Spider Meetup Community Cleanup
If you’re looking to spend some time outside, join the University of Richmond’s community cleanup on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Brookland Park. The event is part of RVA Clean City Sweep, and volunteers will help clear sidewalks, storm drains and storefronts along Brookland Park Boulevard and North Avenue. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to participate. You can register here

Tie-Dye at The Current
Arts and crafts lovers can exercise their artistic abilities at a tie-dye night hosted by the SpiderBoard on Saturday, Sept. 20 from 7 to 9 p.m. Enjoy making a colorful mess and eating free food at this event in The Current! You can learn more and register here

Lewis Ginter Fall Plant Sale
Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens is hosting a fall plant sale on Sept. 19-20. The sale runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature plant vendors, master gardeners and a seed library. The event is free and open to the public. You can learn more here

Maymont Bier-Garden
Maymont will host a two-day German-style Bier-Garden on the Carriage House Lawn, Sept. 20–21, from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The festival will feature live music, folk dancers, vendors, games, and family-friendly activities. Highlights include a dachshund costume contest and performances by Fritz’s Polka Band. Admission is $10 for adults, $6 for youth ages 16 and under, and free for infants under one. Tickets also include entry to The Robins Nature Center. For more information and tickets, check it out here

DIY Succulent Bar

Plant and decorate your very own succulent with stickers, washi tape, rocks and more! Join for this Weeks of Welcome event on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 4 p.m. in The Current. You can learn more here
