“Interstellar” is a new
film from director Christopher Nolan starring Matthew McConaughey, Anne
Hathaway and Jessica Chastain; a five-star movie in my opinion. The film is a crowning achievement in the
sci-fi genre, but one that falls just short of masterpiece status.
“Interstellar” deals with such gigantic ideas such as our place in the cosmos,
while also contemplating the meaning of human life when our planet
cannot sustain us anymore.

According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, in 2009 an estimated 438 million electronic products were sold in the United States alone -- a two-fold increase since 1997 -- which has led to annual increases in electronic waste. Through its annual electronic waste-recycling event, held this year on Thursday, March 6 in lot B5, the University of Richmond has continued its commitment to lowering the number of electronics that end up as waste.

Tuesday night, the women's basketball team outlasted the Fordham University Rams in a double overtime thriller, winning 78-77 on a game-winning shot by freshman guard Janelle Hubbard. The Spiders rebounded after dropping their first game against Fordham back in January. Hubbard and senior guard Kristina King combined for a total of 58 points.
