Tropical Storm Hanna moved through Richmond Saturday morning and afternoon, dropping between one and three inches of rain and bringing strong winds, but no serious damage.
A tropical storm wind warning and flash flood watch are in effect for Richmond and surrounding areas from late tonight through Saturday evening as Tropical Storm Hanna continues to move toward Virginia.
The National Weather Service has issued a tropical storm watch from the North Carolina-Virginia border to southern New Jersey as Tropical Storm Hanna continues spinning toward the southeastern United States. A watch generally means that tropical conditions are possible within 36 hours.
