Villanova University ended the University of Richmond football team's 17-game winning streak with a 21-20 victory in front of a crowd of 11,667 at UR Stadium.
The Campus Activities Board and the Richmond Rowdies hosted a bonfire on the eve of the Homecoming football game between Richmond and Villanova. Coach Mike London and the football team joined students at the event, which featured music, food and a milk-drinking contest.

The Spiders beat Towson University 42-14 Saturday afternoon at Johnny Unitas Stadium for their 17th-consecutive victory.
University sororities and fraternities sponsored the 11th-annual Trick or Treat Street, a Halloween-themed carnival for young children. All proceeds were donated to the Children's Organ Transplant Association benefiting 4-year-old Richmond boy, Cole Hafer, who needs a liver transplant.
The ROTC cadets of Spider Battalion went to Fort Bragg, N.C. on Oct. 24 to compete in the Ranger Challenge with cadets from 39 other schools.

Arts Around the Lake featured approximately 100 local area artists who displayed and sold their artwork Sunday around Westhampton Lake. The Greater Richmond Alumni Center sponsored the event.
