HARRISONBURG, Va. — Richmond gained 118 yards of total offense as James Madison University won, 31-7, Saturday evening at Bridgeforth Stadium. Richmond quarterback Aaron Corp passed for 130 yards but was sacked seven times as Richmond gained -12 yards rushing. It was the second-straight loss in the Colonial Athletic Association for Richmond as it fell to 3-2 on the year.

The University of Richmond football team suffered its first loss of the season Saturday evening, 45-43, to the University of New Hampshire. The game was the Colonial Athletic Association conference opener for both teams. The Spiders scored 20 points during a fourth-quarter comeback attempt, but the Wildcats scored 28 points during the second quarter, which proved too much for the home team to overcome.

I spent the better half of my Labor Day morning dancing to the Pussycat Dolls. I'm not the most skilled when it comes to interpretive dance, so I was utterly spastic when I tried to imitate the movements of the dancing silhouette on the screen.

Richmond turned the ball over five times during the first half, but held Wagner to just three points off of those turnovers to pick up the 21-6 victory Saturday night at Robins Stadium. This was the first night game in the history of Robins Stadium, which opened last year. Richmond quarterback set career highs with 236 yards and two touchdowns.

President Barack Obama addressed a packed Robins Center Friday morning to talk about his American Jobs Act. Crowds started gathering at 6 a.m., about five and a half hours before Obama's appearance. Once inside, Obama's roughly 25-minute speech covered not only his jobs plan but also the necessity for a stable long-term economy.
