Any person who respects the autonomy of Jewish statehood in Israel and believes in the validity of the 1967 unification of Jerusalem should be sincerely apprehensive of President Donald Trump’s decision today to officially recognize Jerusalem as the Israeli capital.
My Palestinian friend Amar* often talks about how he wants to create change and work toward peace in his region, as well as in the world. Netanyahu was rudely dismissed and the press was not allowed to photograph even a single handshake between the two men.
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict breathes life into Wael El Sabour El Kader's art. Although he is inspired by nature, the Egyptian pyramids, and the "utopian society" of Alexandria, Egypt, he is most passionate when he speaks about Israel and Palestine.
