Generra Peck might be the busiest person on campus. On top of serving as president of the Westhampton College Government Association, she belongs to an assortment of nine other boards and committees around campus, ranging from the WDCE 90.1 Board of Directors to the campus Emergency Resource Team. To snap her picture yesterday, I had to wait in the D-hall parking lot. Generra pulled up by the curb, jumped out so I could get a picture of her, then quickly approved the photo before hopping back in the car to jettison herself off to her next meeting.

Though most of us can't keep up with Generra's warp-speed schedule, we can at least relate to her love of music.

"Music is so important in my life," Peck said. "If I find a song I like, I listen to it non-stop. I've listened to Red Ragtop on my iTunes over 2,000 times." She said that she keeps a CD in her car of favorite songs to fall back on when she doesn't care for what is on the radio or on her iPod. The iPod, by the way, stays with her at all times.

As WCGA President, Generra leads an association of more than 150 elected and appointed members, composed of the senate, judicial and honor councils, class presidents and cabinets, and executive members. As Generra put it, "WCGA is a terrific way to get involved in U of R and serve by representing student opinions, addressing campus needs through targeted programming and the maintenance of traditions, and providing opportunities for leadership development in order to enrich the quality of student life"
