Several funding requests made at WCGA meeting

The Westhampton College Government Association met at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the North Court Reception Room.

An Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority member proposed a funding need for the sorority's annual breast cancer walk. Sorority members want to produce t-shirts for the participants and asked for any help available.

Messenger editor Jenny Patchen asked for $600 in funding to support the magazine.

Matt Dreyfuss, President of the Richmond Rowdies, came to discuss "Spider Mayhem", a tradition that has not taken place for several years, but is restarting 9 p.m. Saturday in the Weinstein Center.

Alpha Phi Omega representative Jessica Miller proposed funding for the organization's Senior Citizen's Prom.

Most proposals will be voted on in the coming weeks.

Dining Services representative Ana Narla said Fridays without dining hall trays had showed a reduction in waste, and she asked for feedback about the initiative.
