Editor's Note: Ask Eric is an advice column published every Tuesday. Anonymous questions are taken from this Google form. Questions are also taken both from The Collegian's Instagram, @thecollegianur, and via email, collegianaskeric@gmail.com. The views and opinions expressed in this article do not reflect those of The Collegian.

Hi! Welcome to the advice column in The Collegian. My name is not Eric. Sadly, Eric graduated, but I will be taking over “Ask Eric.” The column will be anonymous going forward so I can commit to giving purely candid advice. In the past, the column often focused on the writer’s personal experiences and although I am still happy to share my perspective, I hope that I can also give readers advice about their lives.

I wanted to share a little about myself and my expertise. I will try to give advice about anything but there are definitely some subjects that I may know more about. I am from the Northeast, as most people from this school are. If you have any questions about Southern culture or living, I probably do not know the answer. Additionally, if you have questions about the economy, I am not your columnist! I will not be able to help you invest in the stock market. In fact, I barely understand how the stock market works!

So, with that being said, send me lifestyle questions, sports questions and relationship questions. Send me questions about food, social situations, music, movies, art and academics! If you have any questions about politics, I will try my best to answer, but I will probably try to avoid that as a topic since I am no expert.

Even if you have questions about other subjects that I have not mentioned, I will try my best to answer! I am excited to continue the “Ask Eric” column this year, and I eagerly await your questions.
