StarRez Gender Flexible Housing Pilot Program

Two sophomore senators, Andi Punishall and Jasmine Khatcheressian, plan to start a pilot program that would create a gender-flexible housing portal within StarRez that would allow students to receive gender-flexible housing more easily.

Mental Health Survey

Junior and Speaker of the Senate Jonathan Garner plans to create a survey that tracks what negatively impacts students' mental health. The survey will ask questions about classes, grades, housing, the effectiveness of Counseling and Psychological Services and more in hopes that these responses can be presented to the school to help enact change in the areas that affect students' mental health the most. Garner said he aimed to have the survey go out next semester. The committee is currently developing the survey.

Garner plans to speak with WCGA next week to make this a collaborative project between both bodies.

Possible Changes to Blackboard

Junior Ben Reilman attended a faculty meeting where they discussed a proposed pilot Google Classroom program to potentially move away from Blackboard after student and teacher complaints.
