Happy Monday Spiders! It’s time for the final countdown. There is one week left of the fall semester before final exams commence, so it’s time to make the most of this last week. While cold weather and looming assignments are a recipe for holing up in the library, make sure to practice self care. Salsa Study Break
If you’re sad that this season of Dancing with Stars is over, extend the dancing fun one more week with a Salsa Study Break hosted by Ritmo Latino! Dance on over to The Current tonight from 8:30 to 10 p.m. for music, food, and of course, dancing! You can register here.
Holiday A Cappella Concert
The Sirens a cappella group is hosting a night of holiday songs on Thursday, Dec. 9, at 9 p.m. in the Tyler Haynes Commons! Enjoy some holiday tunes from campus a cappella groups The Octaves, Choeur du Roi, Off the Cuff, and the Sirens! Admission is free. You can get your tickets here
UR Women’s Basketball game against Loyola University Chicago
Whether your evening plans consist of locking in at the library or socializing at The Cellar, take a break to cheer on the UR Women’s Basketball team on Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 6 p.m. Show some Spider spirit in their game against Loyola University Chicago in the Robins Center stadium. Natural wreath making workshop
DIY some festive decor sustainably with a natural wreath making workshop with the Office of Sustainability! This event will teach you how to create your own holiday wreath using locally foraged plants. Swing by the Westhampton Living Room on Thursday, Dec. 4, from 1 to 3 p.m. You can reserve a spot for the workshop here.
Holiday Artisan Market
Are you looking to buy some thoughtful holiday gifts for family and friends? Check out the Holiday Artisan Market on Sunday, Dec. 7, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Zorch Pizza Parlor on Forest Hill. This event will feature art, jewelry, woodworking, and handmade home décor and apparel from local vendors. Admission is free, and you can learn more here.
