Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration
The Office of the Vice President for Inclusion and Belonging is hosting an event reflecting on the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Tuesday, Jan. 20. The doors for the event open at 5:30 p.m., which will be located in Ukrop Auditorium in the Robins School of Business. The evening program will feature a keynote address by Makola M. Abdullah, president of Virginia State University. The event starts at 6 p.m. with a reception to follow. No registration required; just show up! Information can be found here.
OAR Trips
Registration for Outdoor Adventure Richmond spring trips opened on Jan. 12, but you still have time to sign up! There are multiple trips, including ski and snowboarding, cycling, camping and white water rafting. Each event has its own capacity and due date, so make sure you sign up as soon as possible. Winter SpiderFest
Want to join or discover more student organizations on campus this semester? Winter SpiderFest will be held in Tyler Haynes Commons on Thursday, Jan. 22 from 3-5 p.m. While grabbing some hot cocoa and enjoying tunes from WDCE, catch up with various student organizations on campus. Lots of Applications
Sophomore Scholars in Residence (SSIR) is a program designed for second-year students to live and learn together on campus. The program includes two courses and a trip with your class during a break. Applications close tonight, but there is still time to get them done! Information about SSIR and the application can be found here.
The office of Living-Learning & New Student Programs is accepting applications to be an orientation advisor for the 2026-2027 orientation season. As an orientation advisor, you will be part of a team that welcomes incoming first-year students. Applications are open now until Sunday, Jan. 25. More information here.
The Office of Residence Life and Housing is also accepting applications to become a resident assistant. The RA application for the 2026-2027 academic year is now open and will close on Jan. 25. More information can be found here.
