Many students at the University of Richmond enjoyed Saturday's snowfall from the comfort of their on-campus dorms and apartments. Some went sledding on the hill in front of Boatwright Memorial Library, some trekked to the Heilman Dining Center in their water-resistant rain boots and others remained content to wander the grounds and take in the snow-covered sights.

D-Hall, n. - the place where we all eat, unless you're at the Pier. Frequently, it's crowded at popular meal times such as noon and 6 p.m. The workers swiping cards are sometimes friendly, but sometimes grumpy from years of doing the same thing. The food is pretty good, but tiring after four years. The meatballs are fabulous and the company is great, assuming you like your friends.

Last Tuesday marked Earline Roots' 12th anniversary as a Heilman Dining Center cook. Throughout each of those years she has relied on the Route 16 bus to get to and from work, unless she could find a carpool. But come January 2010, the route reduction within the Greater Richmond Transit Company (GRTC) will change that.
