Tarrant's Cafe is relatively off the beaten path for those who frequent the culinary mecca that is Cary Street and the Fan. However, well worth the trip down West Broad, Tarrant's offers upscale pub food in a warm and inviting environment. Tarrant's Cafe ended up being the perfect choice for a pre-movie dinner as its location is a few minutes from the Bowtie Cinema, and its extensive and varied menu also had plenty of options for my party, which included one gluten-free eater, one with a shellfish allergy and a vegetarian.

UR Glee Club performed "Bridge Over Troubled Water" during its debut at the Black History Month Dinner on February 1, 2011. Freshman Cristina Meehan, a co-founder of the new group, said she had envisioned a group that would incorporate a multi-dimensional experience using movements and instruments, along with singing.

The second "Stepping 101: Hollywood Nights" competition, hosted by the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. at Millhiser Gym on November 12, 2010, featured the University of Richmond's six Panhellenic sororities: Alpha Chi Omega, Delta Delta Delta, Delta Gamma, Kappa Alpha Theta, Kappa Kappa Gamma and Pi Beta Phi. They competed for a $700 prize, which was won by Delta Delta Delta.

The mailman carried a box twice his size to an old white van and loaded it in on top of bins full with letters and packages. Tuesdays are the best days, he said, because that's when the mail is lightest.
