Five George Washington University players scored in double figures as the Colonials bruised and bullied their way to a 73-65 victory in a game that had 14 lead changes Tuesday night at the Robins Center.

The University of Richmond men's basketball team won its third straight game since losing Cedrick Lindsay and Derrick Williams Saturday evening at the Robins Center, beating Fordham University, 82-70.

Tuesday night, the women's basketball team outlasted the Fordham University Rams in a double overtime thriller, winning 78-77 on a game-winning shot by freshman guard Janelle Hubbard. The Spiders rebounded after dropping their first game against Fordham back in January. Hubbard and senior guard Kristina King combined for a total of 58 points.
Injuries have been a problem for both the women's soccer and basketball teams at University of Richmond this year.

Senior guard Cedrick Lindsay will miss the remainder of Richmond's season because of a torn meniscus in both knees, according to Richmond Athletics.
Derrick Williams has left the men's basketball team due to personal reasons, according to Richmond Athletics.
The University of Richmond women's basketball team took on the Duquesne Dukes looking for their third consecutive victory against the Dukes, but fell short 55-45, Saturday night. Both the Spiders and Dukes were coming off wins Wednesday and wanted to extend that fortune.
"We are the best in the state of Virginia," VCU forward Juvonte Reddic said without hesitation following VCU's 81-70 win over Richmond.
