Another Jewish student who spoke anonymously to The Collegian out of concern for her safety said that Jewish students felt unsafe on campus after the demonstration.
Another change will be the end of “mass emails” regarding the occurrence of bias-related incidents, unless there is a “safety concern,” according to the RCSGA meeting transcript of the information session.
“The message we wanted to give today was that this was a welcoming space for everyone regardless of what faith you belong to,” Muslim and first-year student Noor Ul Ain Kaifee said.

Paraskevi Kotsakiachidou, a sophomore from Greece said that students tended to hang out with those who shared their nationality due to familiarity, which is a common theme amongst students at UR. She said her accent had sometimes led to different treatment by American peers and classmates.
SBC started as a community for biology majors, but it has expanded to all science majors and hopefully soon to those outside of Gottwald Center for the Sciences as well.
Manager of Information Services’ IT communications and engagement, Kevin Creamer, said that Information Services surveyed 900 students about their major technology concerns. The most frequent response it received was the performance of the wireless services on campus.
