Turner making a name for himself in the NFL

At UR, Turner, who studied mathematics and music and sang in two of UR’s musical groups – Schola Cantorum and Choeur Du Roi – picked up 158 tackles, 33.5 tackles for loss and 16 sacks. He also forced 4 fumbles – 3 of which he returned – and scored 2 touchdowns.

Spiders take third in Sunshine Slam with win over UNLV

After two straight losses over Boston College and the University of Colorado Boulder, the Spiders got back in the win column in an all-out effort over the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Nov. 21, defeating the Runnin’ Rebels 82-65 and claiming third place in the Sunshine Slam in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Spider Sports Recap | Week of Nov. 13

Over the course of the three-day Patriot Invite in Fairfax, Virginia, the swimming and diving team had success in several different events. In the women’s 200-yard freestyle relay, the Spiders finished tied for fourth place with a time of 1:33.92.

Cayo joins Memphis Hustle

“It’s been a nice experience for me,” Cayo said. “It’s obviously in a different role than most teams I’ve been in, but I’m embracing the challenge and trying to get better every day.”
