University of Richmond freshman pitcher Andrew Blum needed to throw a strike after falling behind the lead-off hitter during the top of the ninth in a tied game. Blum did just that but unfortunately for Richmond, it was too good of a pitch as Bucknell University's Colby Vanderbeck drove the pitch for a home run that gave Bucknell a 4-3 victory Sunday afternoon at Pitt Field.

Last week, students crowded the University of Richmond Forum, throwing balls to each other, swinging racquets and generally having a good time. The Forum was the hot-spot for the second-annual Sport Club Rush, which was held Thursday, Sept. 2. Students had the opportunity to sign up for clubs, ask questions, get practice and competition schedules and check out all the events going on with different clubs this semester.

This week, we witnessed President Obama's shameful treatment of the leader of one of America's closest allies. This became clear when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was hauled before a "seething" Obama and read the Riot Act behind closed doors. Netanyahu was rudely dismissed and the press was not allowed to photograph even a single handshake between the two men.
