The 2008 presidential race isn't the only Nov. 4 election students registered to vote in Richmond will help decide. They'll also be voting for the city's new mayor under a new voting system.

Drinking alcohol is assumed to be such an integral part of college life that the question "do you drink?" refers almost exclusively to the infamous and controversial liquid. According to messages from the mass media, drinking is one of the primary pastimes of the 18-to-25-year-old demographic, even though nearly half of this age group is younger than the legal drinking age.
Third-year University of Richmond law student Mike Braggs is interested in family law. He's pursued his passion working with children and has been involved in both delinquency and educational law clinics in his time as a student.
The number of students choosing to major in philosophy has risen dramatically over the past few years, according to the New York Times, but the trend has had only a small effect on numbers at the University of Richmond.

"Always anonymous. Always juicy," is the self-proclaimed description of the Web site JuicyCampus.com, which allows students at 50 colleges and universities to post anonymous comments about other students and organizations at their schools.

Peter has been the manager of Alcoholic Beverage Control store No. 254 on Three Chopt Road for 12 years. Six days a week, he has sold some of the finest liquors to local residents as well as University of Richmond students. He's sold tequila on Tuesdays, whiskey on Wednesdays and plenty of Southern Comfort on Saturdays. But not once has he sold a drop of liquor on a Sunday.
The local chapter of the American Red Cross will be working with University of Richmond undergraduate and law students in a new initiative to serve the Hispanic community in Richmond.
