With more than 100 cases of monkeypox reported in Virginia, the University of Richmond is advising students who have symptoms to contact the Student Health Center. Beyond that, there are no campus-wide policies to prevent the spread of the virus.

The U.S. Supreme Court on June 24 overruled Roe v. Wade, ending the constitutional right to an abortion nearly 50 years after the landmark case was decided. The ruling comes after a draft majority opinion was leaked in May indicating that it could be overturned.

University of Richmond President Kevin Hallock has spent the academic year meeting his new constituents. He spoke at the grand opening of the Student Center for Equity and Inclusion. He attended the march in support of survivors of sexual assault. He watched the men’s basketball team win the Atlantic 10 championship. As spring 2022 comes to an end, UR will celebrate Hallock’s official inauguration this weekend.
