Officers who were at the station to engage in a training exercise, returned shots to the shooter, who later died at VCU Medical Center. The shooter has had prior criminal charges and his body has been taken to to the state medical examiner’s office, per the Richmond Times-Dispatch. The shooter's identity is known by officials, but information has not been made public yet.
