Nowadays too many programs focus on the same cliche topics. You have your run-of-the-mill comedy about dysfunctional families. You have all too realistic sci-fi shows. Come on, the point is to make an unbelievable world, that is the intriguing part of the genre. Then there is the simplistic drama which has one simple goal that almost never comes to a quick resolution. "Lost," anyone? The producers milked a couple of seasons out of a show that could have been resolved in one. I am not indicting these shows because frankly some of them are my favorites; however, I do want to see some more variety occasionally.

A traveling historical exhibit at University of Richmond Downtown has not been as popular as its organizers had hoped, but the events surrounding it have thrived.
Ken Cuccinelli has a long history of standing up for the innocent--from his work with preventing sexual assault to protecting the preborn--and that is why the Spiders for Life are endorsing Ken Cuccinelli for governor.

The University of Richmond field hockey team went ahead of Saint Francis University 4-0 in the first 15 minutes and never let the Red Flash back in to the game. Saint Francis scored at the end of the first half, and the game did not see its last goal until Amy Cook scored for the Spiders to end the game with a score of 6-1.
Junior Drika Bianchin, midfielder for the University of Richmond women's soccer team, suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament for the second time in less than two years. Bianchin, a native of Brazil, is recovering from surgery and said she hoped to return to the team this spring.
Many students involved in Sophomore Scholars in Residence (SSIR) programs traveled to different domestic and international cities over Fall Break.
