This movement, at its best, is misguided. The protesters are misguided because of an inadequate understanding of definitions of terminology. This movement blames capitalism for being "unfair" and "unjust" and for being responsible for causing the occurring incidents that led to and eventually stemmed from the 2008 financial crisis that affected the world.

Dear Editor,

Brunch. It's classier than lunch, but still being served when you wake up. And it was just what two lovely ladies and I were craving the Saturday morning of Halloweekend. The perfect restaurant for quenching our hankerings was 3 Monkeys.

So in a week that I was referring to as practically irrelevant, what with the LSU-Alabama showdown coming up this Saturday, much has changed in the landscape of college football. While LSU and Bama were dormant this week, each still holds the top two spots in the BCS rankings. (Stanford won for the first time by less than a hundred this season, beating USC in triple overtime.) Oklahoma State, No. 3 in the polls, demolished an upstart and dangerous Baylor team by 35, while its in-state rivals, Oklahoma, spanked previously unbeaten Kansas State 58-17.

"Why doesn't that girl wear shoes?" I wish I could say that it was a campaign to raise money and awareness for impoverished, shoeless children, but as noble as this may sound it is far from the truth. If you stopped to ask me this question, I may have mentioned feeling more connected to nature or claimed that I found shoes to be an inconvenience after a year abroad in the Turks and Caicos Islands and New Zealand.

Take a turn off the busy and eclectic W. Cary Street in Carytown and you'll find Stuzzi Pizzeria nestled among a quieter neighborhood of bungalows. Even though I visited on a Sunday night, Stuzzi exuded a generally buzzing atmosphere of chaos that made dining there exciting and a little frustrating. The restaurant was clearly understaffed and the host left us waiting for a while as he and the bartender tried to sort out the delivery and carryout pizzas, so my friend and I decided to eat at the bar rather than wait for a table.

The Libyan revolution came to an unexpected climax this past week when news broke that the deposed dictator, Muammar Gadhafi, had been slain at the hands of the rebel forces. Checkmate.

The infamous "work hard, play harder" lifestyle here at Richmond is not an easy one to keep up with. It's easy to get sucked into going out during the week because all of your friends are, but where does that leave your workload? While it is important to let yourself have fun, too much of it can throw you off balance; and the same goes for working too much.

On the evening of Sept. 15, I, along with another member of Spiders for Life, put up flyers in the women's bathrooms in Boatwright Library, Jepson and the International Center. By noon on the 16th, our flyers had been removed from all the library bathrooms.

The slow-motion suicide of Pakistan in the decade since 9/11 is a story that has seemed to lay at a low boil for most Americans, only to periodically rocket (if you'll pardon the expression) into our headlines with spectacular Today Show-friendly events: The video-taped beheading of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl in 2002, the return and murder of Benazir Bhutto in 2007 and finally, the Navy SEALs' dispatch of Osama bin Laden in the Pakistani military cantonment of Abbottabad earlier this year.

I have found myself becoming increasingly sucked into the environmentalist movement since coming to the University of Richmond.

The Occupy Wall Street protests are something that should concern even the most politically withdrawn members of the University of Richmond. At the root of these protests is a criticism of a common result of any free market society: the accumulation of wealth.

When the Boston Bruins won the Stanley Cup last May, it did many great things. First of all, it sent the city of Vancouver into a state of emergency. The footage from the riots there looked like a scene from "Cloverfield." It also gave the Bruins its first Stanley Cup since 1972. But more importantly, at least to the people of Boston, it brought them, and only them (seriously no one else), the joy of having a legitimate claim to referring to Boston as Title Town, USA. Allow me to explain.

Since this will probably be the last movie review I write for "The Collegian," I'm deliriously relieved that I get to tell you about a very good film. I'm talking, of course, about "50/50."

If you thought you saw or heard about the Harvard Sailing Team's visit to campus last Friday night, you're wrong. The real Harvard sailing team was probably out lifting or drinking whiskey or whatever it is that sailing teams do on a Friday night. Those people onstage in the Camp Concert Hall looking cute in polos and argyle are a group of nine actors who only call themselves the Harvard Sailing Team.

This past weekend, I was at the 7th UR African Film Weekend hosted in the Ukrop Auditorium of the Robins School of Business. Despite my attendance being prompted largely by the promise of extra credit from a professor, I am happy I went.

The food we eat is one of the most important factors in living a balanced lifestyle. Food gives our bodies the fuel they need to get us through our demanding days.

After the "Dream Team" Philadelphia Eagles lost to my New York Giants Sunday in a game during which Eagles quarterback Michael Vick suffered a broken hand, the multi-talented quarterback called out NFL referees for not protecting him the way they do other quarterbacks. Vick suffered a concussion in the Eagles week two loss to the Atlanta Falcons and while his injury from Sunday has been downgraded from a broken hand to a bone contusion, he said he still felt he was not being protected by officials the way he should be.
