Brunch. It's classier than lunch, but still being served when you wake up. And it was just what two lovely ladies and I were craving the Saturday morning of Halloweekend. The perfect restaurant for quenching our hankerings was 3 Monkeys.

Take a turn off the busy and eclectic W. Cary Street in Carytown and you'll find Stuzzi Pizzeria nestled among a quieter neighborhood of bungalows. Even though I visited on a Sunday night, Stuzzi exuded a generally buzzing atmosphere of chaos that made dining there exciting and a little frustrating. The restaurant was clearly understaffed and the host left us waiting for a while as he and the bartender tried to sort out the delivery and carryout pizzas, so my friend and I decided to eat at the bar rather than wait for a table.

The Maine Black Bears came back from a 16-0 deficit to score 23 fourth-quarter points and win, 23-22, Saturday afternoon. It is Richmond's fourth-straight loss, all coming in Colonial Athletic Association play. Richmond was in range of a long field goal with under a minute left in the game, but quarterback Aaron Corp was sacked for 11 yards to put the Spiders at the Maine 44-yard line. His next two passes were incomplete to seal the victory for the Black Bears.

There's a reason economists from all angles are encouraging Congress to adopt President Obama's jobs proposal announced Thursday and outlined on our campus Friday: its sound economic policy. Most aspects of his $450 billion proposal will give a big boost to our economy next year, perhaps raising 2012's GDP growth by as much as 2 percent while lowering unemployment by 1 percent.

Richmond picked up a 23-21 upset win over Duke University Saturday night at Wallace Wade Stadium in Durham, N.C. Interim coach Wayne Lineburg picked up his first career win after taking over the position just 10 days before the start of the season. Richmond has now won the past three times it has traveled to Wallace Wade Stadium.

Mezzanine 3433 gets its name from its address on Cary Street, a prime location for those looking to meander around the off-beat neighborhood before or after a good meal. Mezzanine had been on my list of places to eat before I graduate since I heard about their bloody mary bar at brunch. Conveniently located with an ever-changing menu of delicious dishes, Mezzanine proved to be a lovely dinner destination.
