• The New England Patriots were not supposed to lose to the New York Jets on Sunday. But the shock Patriot fans are going through is nothing compared to how Patriot running back Danny Woodhead must feel about this season. Woodhead, who attended Chadron State University in Chadron, Neb., was not selected during the 2008 NFL Draft. He was signed by the Jets after the draft, and started the 2010 season with the team. But the Jets cut Woodhead after the team's first game. The Patriots picked him up on Sept. 18, and as the season went on, he became one of Tom Brady's favorite targets. Woodhead finally has a home with the Patriots. He signed a two-year contract that will keep him in New England through 2012.
