Winter Storm Jonas, which rocked Richmond and much of the East Coast, was the biggest snowstorm in the region since 2000 and the 11th-largest snowfall of one storm recorded in the Richmond area.
For University of Richmond students from the northern United States, this weekend's snowstorm brought standard winter weather. But for those from the southern states and the west coast, this was something entirely new.
All classes and events scheduled for Monday, Jan. 25, are cancelled other than the men's basketball game vs. Davidson College, according to an email faculty, staff and students received at about 8:30 a.m.
All activities at University of Richmond are cancelled Sunday because of the snowstorm, according to an email from university administrators.
